How it started

In February 2022, I was the lead visual designer for our latest website rebrand and managed six designers during the cycle. The challenge was to roll out the mockups within a 10-week timeline while collaborating with stakeholders and a defined brand element.

Our competitors claim #1 in the Enablement space. However, analysis reports such as  G2, Forrester, and Double Check Research would indicate otherwise. In addition, though Seismic is known as the global leader in the space, potential customers felt our products were outdated and hard to use. Therefore, the goal of the website rebrand was to clearly and promptly answer the question “Who is Seismic and what does the company do?” and convey Seismic’s leadership position in the Sales Enablement category. Thus, we aim to create a space that shows Seismic as the number one in the Enablement industry through visually appealing stats, case studies, and videos & images of our products.

As we designed the website, I took the lead in creating a design system within Figma. This allowed designers and developers to work more efficiently and maintain consistent web pages. The main reason for this approach was to cut down on time spent designing and building the pages. In addition, this allowed us to hit our deadline and build a scalable design system for future implementations. The video below exemplifies creating breakpoints of components using the Seismic Design Library.

  • Redesigned 50+ pages, launched the first search feature on the site, and created a design system within a 10-week timeline. 

  • 56% (16% organic) increase in bookings y/y.

  • 32% increase in demo requests in the last six months compared to pre-redesign.

  • The bounce rate average time went down by 26.43% compared to our 2021 rate.
